  • What can I access on the Eduroam network?

    The Eduroam network is restricted to Internet access only. Outbound VPN connections are also permitted.

  • Does it cost anything?

    The University of Melbourne does not charge for using Eduroam.

  • I cannot connect. What should I do?

    Ensure your device is configured according to instructions from your home institution. The Eduroam settings used by University of Melbourne staff and students are different.

    Check that you have entered the correct username and password. Your username must specify your home institution. For example,

  • What username and password do I use to access Eduroam?

    You must use the username and password provided to you by your home institution.

    The username will be in the form which may not be the same as your email address.

  • My device settings are correct and my account is working but I still cannot connect. Where can I find help?
